Pros#Great for small businesses#invoices in and out, payments, wages#bank recs#VAT return data so easy to fill in form on line#regular updates#good support#even the paid for version is cheap.
Constakes a bit of getting used tonot always easy to find what you want initially
SummaryLets hope more people pay for this so the writer has more incentive (and importantly the wherewithal) to develop it even faster.

"Great acounts software"

Version: Adminsoft Accounts 3.154
ProsIt's free! It's easy to install and use. I had no issues, managed to get it up and running pretty quickly. Does everything I need. Can produce sales invoices and customer statements in HTML.
ConsEvery time you exit the software, it starts up my browser and goes to their web site. Have to pay them to avoid this happening, although it's not much. Although the software is international, the payroll only any use in the United Kingdom.
SummaryI've pretty much said it all above! It is easy to use. Much easier than some packages form the big software companies. It seems to work the way small businesses work, if you know what I mean. It doesn't insist you do stuff like month ends or year ends. And my accountant likes it, so thats a BIG plus! Don't know why this site talks about v3.154, because the current version is v4.017? One last thing, and I've never seen this on any other accounts software, is that it has two modes: one mode for beginners that displays simpler screens and less options, and another mode for more advanced users. How can they do all this for free? I just dunno. But there ya go.

ConsDo not download; will not uninstall. Loads ChilkatMail2.dll on registry--malware. Requires registry changes to get it off your computer.

I need to correct the comment made by TheresaJDIY.The software does not automatically install ChilkatMail2.dll It is only required if the Chilkat mail option is selected (which is not necessary, and is not selected by default), and then it will ask your permission first. It most certainly IS NOT malware!

Had to reply to this review when I saw it. It couldn't be further from the truth!To uninstall Adminsoft Accounts, you just delete the folder that it lives in. ChilKatMail is used to send email direct from the accounts system, and does require a registry entry, but it asks you first (I wish all software did that). It most definately is NOT malware.
