ProsNONE. Worked great for the first few months.
ConsAuto-converted hand input references to a differently formatted free program (Zotero), causing references to be inaccessible unless the add-on was purchased. Huh? I paid for EazyPaper and had no need for an add-on to recognize formats that I was not attempting to import. Snap. EazyPaper converts your files then holds them hostage unless you spend additional funds. If you don't buy the add-on within a random number of days EazyPaper disappears taking your references with it.
Who Ya Gonna Call? Not EazyPaper Tech Support, they don't offer tech support via phone. Tech Support Available Option: Email. Unfortunately, EazyPaper tech support does not respond to email requests for assistance.
Implied Warranty? One would expect that the product should function as described for no less than the duration of the purchased license. This product does not. Mine failed within a few months, as indicated above requests for assistance have not been unacknowledged by EazyPaper.
SummaryEazyPaper fails to live up to its claims because it ceases to function shortly after purchase. The failure begins with a formatting change to input references to a format requiring additional fees to access. This seems a little like antivirus programs that install viruses on computers so that the computer owner will need to purchase an antivirus program. This becomes more suspect as emails to EazyPaper requesting methods of correcting this glitch? go unanswered. Even if not a scam by EazyPaper their failure to respond to emails requesting assistance within a few months of purchase indicates that the software manufacturer does not stand behind the product. Sadly, this is not a "you get what you pay for" situation the product is not cheap, in fact the full suite is more expensive than student pricing on some of the better known formatting programs such as EndNote.

ProsI will probably subscribe to EazyPaper for life, long after I am no longer a student, because this program handles formatting and indexing of citations automatically. If you have used a citation in the past, you don't have to find the book to cite it again. EazyPaper keeps track of your citations, and formats your papers flawlessly. I appreciate the "notes" feature of EazyPaper that enables recording information that should not be displayed, but helps the user.
ConsEazyPaper works best using its own templates, which are not the Word default templates. The EazyPaper templates insert sections that are often not needed for daily work. The user has to develop habits to check and remove artifacts left by the EazyPaper template. EazyPaper does not handle certain kinds of sources well at all, such as multimedia presentations that are not vlogs, and online publications that are not blogs. I constantly find myself having to look up proper citation formats, and then having to experiment to figure out how to force EazyPaper to format the citation correctly. I've never encountered problems citing materials that use the formats that are explicitly included in EazyPaper, but when the proper format is not included, care is needed, not only upon initial inclusion of the citation, but also each time the citation is re-used. The software does not handle multiple references to the same document well, when (2007b) would be correct.
SummaryThe software is not perfect, but I personally would feel lost without it. The software saves time. It makes it possible to produce a correctly formatted paper in fifteen minutes that would have taken an hour if citations were not stored and indexed for quick reference and insertion into a paper.

ConsThe footnotes and bibliography for the Turabian style is incorrect. Glad I noticed it before it cost me points on my paper. I uninstalled it.

ProsIt is free. But so is cancer.
ConsSupport never got back to me regarding removing the firefox popup.If they are this irritating before the purchase I hate to imagine what they are like afterwards.Strange way to build a customer relationship.

Sorry about that. This has been fixed in the latest versions of EazyPaper. Firefox went through a series of rapid updates, and we had to update our code to match, and then get it approved by Mozilla to fix this bug. All upgrades to EazyPaper are free after purchase, so annoyances like these will be fixed.
