Type in Hindi and other Devanagari based languages in programs which do not support Indian Unicode.
ePandit IME is a typing tool (IME - Input Method Editor) for Hindi and other Devanagari script based Indian languages. It is based on InScript, the standard keyboard layout for Hindi. It supports both Unicode and non-Unicode fonts. This tool helps to type in legacy Hindi fonts like Chanakya, Krutidev etc using InScript layout. It is especially useful for programs which do not support Indic Unicode like CorelDraw, Photoshop.Graphics and DTP industry still uses non-Unicode software in which 8-bit ASCII Hindi fonts are used. For example Chanakya font is used in nearly all Indian newspapers. Moreover most small scale graphics and DTP professionals use Krutidev font. Mostly legacy Hindi fonts are based on Remington (old typewriter) layout due to which the people who do not know Remington, can not type in these fonts. Due to which, people working in these industries still have to learn such a difficult and outdated typing scheme. ePandit IME helps to type in such legacy fonts using InScript, the easier and standard keyboard of Hindi.
Support for new font "Walkman-Chanakya" added.
Option for alternate varnas (characters) in settings.
