Portrait Professional is a computer program that has been trained in male and female beauty. The software has been shown hundreds of examples of beautiful photographs of human faces, and using sophisticated statistical techniques, it has learnt how to subtly enhance photographs to make them more beautiful.Portrait Professional requires no artistic skill. All you have to do is identify some points on the photo such as the corners of the eyes, the edges of the lips, and the software then calculates how to make your subject look their absolute best. It allows you to choose how much to enhance the lighting, the skin texture, and even how many wrinkles to remove. Portrait Professional enhances people in the same way lighting and makeup is used to make someone look more attractive.

ProsDoes what it's supposed to do and it does it very well
ConsIf you ever need to re-install, forget about re-licensing, their licensing plug-in is a lame joke at the expense of the customers. What good is to have a "de-activate my license" option if the "activate" option won't work in case of a hard drive failure / software re-install?. No response from them on this one after a month of e-mails. Absolutely disappointing

ProsLove the software--can make people look really good.
ConsWhat good is it if you can't use it? "Fingerprint" issues constantly. Have to wait days for a new token then it continues to stop working. Their "fix" doesn't work. If I buy the software I want to use it. Simple request. Complete waste of time. Too bad nice software.
SummaryWill not recognize your computer after a week and then starts the long back and forth with tech support. Then you give up.

ProsI save hours touching up photos in Photoshop CS6 with trial and error versions.. I can see the changes and every step and have ultimate control.
ConsUpgrades are about 1/2 the price but at least not too close together so it's not terribly expensive to Upgrade.
SummaryI will continue to use this as my favorite Portrait software for a very long time.

ProsWorks very well in a heartbeat. I even recieved an instant upgrade from version 11 to version 12 without asking. Recieved e-mail with confirmation and serial number in minutes of placing the order. It adjusted the first photo I put in it in about 8 seconds. It was so intuitive (if you are familiar with Photoshop or Lightroom, etc) that I made additional adjustments without even refering to the PDF manual which you should download after purchase, or downloading the trail version.
ConsSupport is spotty as mentioned many times in other posts. It may overdo things just a bit, but you can change the saved settings to what you prefer for all future automatic adjustments it does. See my Summary about the problem I seemed to have when ordering. It was my fault, not theirs.

Oh, and since I live in the US and was ordering from England, I had to notify my bank card to allow a one-time purchase with details before the World-Pay System would approve my order. Duh, dumb me.

"Pathetic support"

ProsIf you can get it working its good software.
ConsBought the software, had it installed until my system crashed. Oped a support ticket as you can't re-install the software. After a week nothing!! A 2nd support ticket, and another week, and still nothing, opening a 3rd and will be calling the company, seems they don't care about customer support after they get your money, they just send you new links to buy the same thing again.
Summarydo not buy if your computer crashes or you need to install you need to buy again and again, waste of money!!

ProsNumber one, it does a fantastic job of changing a photo just a tiny bit or going all out making someone's appearance just exactly like you want it. It is very easy to use and takes little time and effort. It was intuitive to me to figure out with hardly any need for formal instruction and is just plain fun to use.
ConsI have not had any reason to complain about a thing.
SummaryThis program really rocks! I would recommend it to anyone because of it's ease and wonderful results. I have had no problem with bazaar looking results as I read in one review and think possibly the points that you adjust at the very beginning of editing may not have been put exactly where they belong. My photos are never distorted, just fresher and clean. It is also fun to just play around with the many options that are available. I really do love this photo editing program. ProsThis software is EASY to use. It makes skin appear flawless and photos magazine ready. It's an excellent value for the cost.
ConsI processed a photo of myself that my husband took, and the result was bizarre. The person in the photo looked like a really, really good impersonation of me, but it definitely wasn't me. (Perhaps it was my alien impersonator?) The eyes were defined and striking, but set oddly farther apart than in actuality. I processed portraits of three other women, and it did the same thing to two of them. If the eyes weren't set so far apart so often, I would have definitely given it five stars.

"Want a woman to love you -- get this software!!"

ProsIncredibly easy to use for the power it has. It turns a woman's portrait shot into a magazine cover quality shot with very little effort, but for those that need them, there are lots of specific tweaks you can do beyond the basic effect. Good for men's shots, too. Available for both PC and Mac and works the same on each. I use it on an HP Win 7 64-bit desktop and on a MacBook Air. I have been using since version 8 (now on v10) and would not be without it.
ConsSome have complained about support. I can't comment since I have never needed any with this software. I have no complaints. Works better than I expected.
