Shanghai solitaire is a mahjongg inclination allowing a wide community of players to compete on becoming the best electronic mahjongg players online. Participants may compete with each other attempting to solve the same board if solvable given their pathway progression and thereafter be ranked according to time taken to solve the layout. Boards if solved may only be solved once thus the first time interval from inception to completion is used to rank competitors.
