Coming up with new gag ideas as a cartoonist or writer can be a struggle. The Gag Machine attempts to boost your productivity by introducing a random element into your thought process. Using your own data or our packs of pre-selected words, you are presented with gag, joke or story ideas which you can discard or keep. The idea is not just to present you with random choices but to allow you to keep the random elements which you think might be useful. We have carefully put together lists that use many of the most popular tropes in cartoons to ensure that you're always working fertile ground rich with comic potential.
