UndeletePlus is a way to retrieve accidentally deleted files, files removed from the Recycle Bin, in a DOS window, from a network drive, from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key held down. The program supports all Windows file systems for hard and floppy drives including FAT12/16/32, NTFS/NTFS5 and image recovery from Compact Flash, Smart Media, Multimedia, and Secure Digital cards.

ProsThe product found my missing files almost immediately. However, you need the paid version to actually recover the files.
ConsThe download is free but it's not fully functional. To get the fully functional version costs $39. I paid the registration fee, but the licence key did not work, and their customer support has ignored my repeated requests for support.
SummaryAfter three tries to contact their customer support to get a valid license key, I downloaded a different product which really WAS free, and now I'm disputing the charge on my credit card.

SummaryI had a file that was accidentally deleted, and I needed it for work. I should have known it was a bad product when their "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY" didn't work. However, since it said my file's recovery ability was HIGH, I went ahead and purchased their program. What a HUGE MISTAKE! When I opened a support ticket, they sent back a canned answer and immediately closed my ticket without even giving me a chance to respond. Again, I followed the instructions given again, and it was of no use. When I followed up again with their support, I was told that is why they have the "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY." When I explained my situation, I was told they can't guarantee it will work, so I was basically out of luck.I filed claims with both the "BuySafe" guarantee that came with the purchase and PayPal in hopes of getting my money back - since the PRODUCT IS USELESS to me. This is the exact response I received from the company:" Due to the complex nature of data recovery, it is not always possible to recover certain deleted files because of hardware constraints, overwriting, crosslinking or other technical reasons, and in certain situations a deleted file found and recovered by UndeletePlus may not be a usable file. We can only guarantee that if the file has not been overwritten then you will be able to recover it. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the condition of the file once it is recovered. That is out of our control."NO GUARANTEE = NO REFUND

ProsPerhaps just the user interface, however you can't visualize the files or the real date.
ConsPaid for it and it doesn't work! Sent a complaint to them and no answer at all!It recovers all the files that I still have in the hard drive. I might have deleted a copy of them but a few years ago. The ones I wanted to recover, from this year, were not there at all. Not even one! Other free softwares did a better job recovering part of the pictures I deleted accidentally.

ProsEasy install - that's it!
ConsYou can see all the files but that is all it does - show them to you. Scanning takes hours and files that you actually want recovered, you usually can't even open.
SummaryI thought I lost all my docs because after scanning it looked like all were irretrievable but with another program I got pretty much everything back in short amount of time. Waste of money!!!

ProsNone. This product was a true ripoff. Paid for zero results
ConsProduct not intuitive. Did not recover any photos. Wasted money for zero return. Better off with freeware product RECUVA which recovered some photos but was led to believe UndeletePlus was more powerful. The scan found files identified as excellent but did not restore any of KBs. Poor documentation. Once you run the scan and click RECOVER the files initially identified can no longer be accessed. Support for the product was poor and they gave bogus information.
SummaryDon't waste your money on this come on product. They bait and switch letting you think it's free and catch you when their initial scan shows that you have recoverable data but to actually see it you need to pay the $$$$$$. I plan to register complaint with my credit card company.

ProsThere is nothing good about this program except you get to see a list of your deleted files, their names and the file type.
ConsThey say you can try before you buy the software. I downloaded it, ran it and saw a list of the deleted files. But when you try to recover some of the files you have to get a license to do it. They claimed my files were damaged, but I downloaded a freeware program and recovered those very same files and have used some of them for my final projects. They won't refund my almost $40 dollars. So tell me how do you see if the program really works if you can't use all the functions. I need my money back!!!
SummarySoftware doesn't work and you can't find that out until after you spent the money. The company needs to do the right thing and refund my money. I needed those files for my college classes and the company let me down.

ProsUndeletePlus is simple and easy to use. I accidentally deleted a series of family videos and was able to recover everything. Cannot put a price value on that...was absolutely worth the money!
