This Software is to assist you in making better decisions about breeding, boarding, and the health and training of your horses. It also helps you to manage your farm, ranch or other horse facility. The Visual Horse Management System is designed for horse owners, horse trainers, horse breeders, and horse boarding facilities.
This software records Horse Owner and Emergency Contact Information as well as specific details for each Horse. This includes Horse Training, Breeding, Performance, Pedigree, and Health Information. Creates a feeding schedule and records inventory/tack. Allows for billing and can track horse related income as well as expenses. All information can be printed in reports, exported to word or an excel file. This also features Contract Templates, an Event Scheduler and the Visual Horse Screen Saver.

ProsI like that it has an area for misc expenses not related directly to the horse, like trailer, halter etc purchases. List a lot of the common vaccinations.
ConsIt needs an unlimited pedigree!!!!!!!

ProsCovers most of the items that must be tracked for a boarding facility. Fairly easy to use and somewhat intuitive. Addition of horse pictures makes it easier to identify which horse's information you are viewing. Fairly complete. I am considering purchasing the 5 horse version.
ConsA little slow on win 98 (my barn computer).
Needed to update database software to microsoft jet 4.0 and mdac 2.6 (no small task using dialup and should be packaged with software). Would really like to be able to customize reports and billing. only a predefined set is available.

SummaryApparently $10.00 buys you what you get to try for free...one horse. Costs $25.00 for up to 5 horses for a 'home' version. But I own 6 horses, so I must pay for a 'professional' version to add my sixth horse. I can get professionally produced products with more features for less money. No thanks.
