JPGRepair allows you to repair corrupt JPEG files using a sample or reference file. It also fixes 'invalid jpeg marker' issues. The reference file has to be a known good JPEG, shot with the same camera, using the exact same settings. Simply place the reference or sample file in the folder containing the corrupt files and name it 'sample.jpg'. It is important you work on copies of the corrupt files. JPGRepair will: extract the header of sample file; process the header of sample file; examine corrupt file for jpeg image data; merge header with image data. Free version is functional so you can actually use it to repair corrupt jpeg headers, only batch processing is disabled.
