"SImple Way to Keep on Top of All your Computers!!"

ProsThere are way too many pros to mention. If you are like me and have many computers you are needing to keep running (I have 10). Then this is your answer. I have a small construction company but can not afford an IT guy so this is my answer.
ConsPretty pricy and you have to pay for it every year, but you can buy one pro and put it on your main computer then deploy free on all your others, so there you go.
SummaryI use this product all the time. I use one version of pro on my main computer at my office. I have another version of pro on my killer computer at my home office. From either on of those I can manage, update, check on, protect and take care of all my other computers that my employees use. It is also a good way to keep track of all my coputers, printers and mobile devices that I own and give to my employees to use. Pro has a ton of features and someday I hope to understand all of them and use them all. I just am limited on time since I have a company to run. One very cool thing is the pro turns your computers into a quick FTP. I can easy transfer files from my home office to my work office and vise versa. I can also transfer files to my employees computers. So if I have a set of plans I need an employee to go over I can simply log on to their computer and drag and drop them onto my employees computer. That is a great feature. I gave it 5 stars because I use it all the time. When I am at home I can see all my computers that are at my work office and also see all my employees laptops that at their houses in their vehicles and so on. It may only be a 4 star program but I gave it 5 because it has become part of my daily work life. Once you start using it you will find that you need it all time. Also, I have used it several times to fix computer issues for family and friends. My mother was having a driver issues with her printer and she was really upset because she needed to scan some stuff and send it to her employer. It was late on a Sunday afternoon when she called me to come help. She lives an hour from my house so it would have been a three hour adventure to go to her house and fix the issue and then come home. I had her download LogMeIn Free and put in my account info. Bam, there it was on my computer and I fixed her issue and she was off and getting her reports scanned and over to her boss. It made her so happy she cried. Bottom line is it saved me a three hour trip, 20 bucks in gas and made my mother very happy. So for the 40 or so bucks I spend a year for the pro version it is worth it. I have helped many of my family members and friends when there were in a bind. The program has paid for itself time and time again. One of my friends sent me a gift card to go eat dinner for fixing his issues via LogMeIn. So even though I have paid for the pro version I am pretty sure I am ahead on the deal!!!! Good, good stuff but you better know a little bit about computers - not for someone who knows nothing about computers.

"Functionality lost, BAD BAD move"

ConsThey took out some major funtionality that was in the free and paid version and now you have to pay $300.00 per year to get it back.
SummaryI decided to NOT renew my paid subscription' I used to recommend this to ALL the clients I support, some which paid for their account. So now Logmein will not be getting my paid subscription, and possible lose some paid subscriptions from clients that I used to refer to Logmein. To gain back the functionality, you have to pay $300 for a Logmein Central product', This is equivalent to about 4 paid Logmein Pro accounts @ $70 per year per pc. Given that a paid subscription to Logmein Pro is about $70.00 and they have lost my subcription, and possibly up to 10 other cliens with paid subscription who may in the future move to whatever I recommend they stand to lose MUCH more then $300.00 in lost revenue and goodwill by this illogical loss of funtionality.

ProsUSED to let you group all of your PC's into groups. Used to be my go to remote log in app.
ConsRemoved functionality that used to be free, and put it into a $300 per year ($50 per month) "Central", I guess in order to force the folks who were not buying it, into buying it. Greedy, slimy move.
SummaryI have used this for years. I had both free and paid subscriptions, and always recommend this to friends and clients. Without warning, they removed functionality that I had grown accustomed to, and told me that what I had been using for years, I now had to pay $300 for. No thanks. Ill pay another company $400 per year just to avoid this.

"Removed Critical Features from Latest Release - BAD."

ProsLets you manage computers. We used it for years before their recent horrible screwup of their product.
ConsThey recently took away several important features from the web interface that is required to use this system properly, without notice. We have been a paying client for years and will now be leaving them to go with another company. Pathetic, really.
SummaryEven if they were to fix it (giving back the missing features), we would continue to refuse to do business with them. They don't care about their customers and only wish to find ways to milk their customers. You will get the missing features if you pay them an *EXTRA* $300 per year. That's on top of their existing fees for per-computer subscriptions. $300 doesn't buy you the service, it only gives you a fancy (and poorly created) interface to interact with the computers that you have to pay separately to manage. Their actions show that they don't care about their customers and only want more money. What they've done is an outrage. They will not get another dime from my company, ever.

ProsI have found LMI a wonderful program for remote connection. Simple to use for my needs. File transfers.
ConsBut suddenly last week, it becazme very very slow. Can't work out why. Hardly worth using apart from file transfers which still appearsto function ok
SummaryIf the speed comes back to what it was, it's a wonderful program. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch. It worked very well for me prior to last week. Hopefully it gets corrected soon otherwise it's disappointing.
