Retrieve and export computer information.
The purpose of MCI RemoteExplorer was to design one application to retrieve pertinent information and export the result set in a format suitable for further analysis; instead of opening multiple utilities and snap-ins to achieve the desired results. The result set can be exported to CSV, XML, Text, and Clipboard depending on the specific feature utilized. MCI RemoteExplorer was designed to efficiently retrieve local and remote computers configuration and real-time diagnostic statistics. This application utilizes optimized threading, parallelism, concurrency, memory cache, and asynchronous methods to achieve this efficiency. MCI RemoteExplorer is query only and does not change any computer or server settings whatsoever.
MCI RemoteExplorer comes in three different editions with increasing levels of features and functionality.
Standard edition includes the Main Menu Tab with 48 distinct features available. Geared towards the home user, and IT desktop/HelpDesk support personnel to troubleshoot/diagnose local and remote computers. Professional edition includes the Main Menu, Event Viewer, WMI Browser, MSI, and Certificates Tabs.
Geared towards the advanced home user, IT desktop/HelpDesk/application support personnel, and application packagers.
Enterprise includes the Main Menu, Event Viewer, WMI Browser, MSI, Certificates, CM2K12, and Misc Tabs.
Geared towards IT support personnel and application packagers in a corporate environment that offers CM2K12, App-V4.6/5.0, and Active Directory functionality.
IT Desktop/HelpDesk: trouble shoot client's computer in their office or remotely from the service desk. Use the event viewer to narrow down system problems. Browse WMI, App-V, and CM2K12 information to quickly get information. Discover certificate information and export to file.
IT application support personel: discover which clients are in the Active Directory groups for the applications you support. Find out how many clients have the applications you support installed on their computer.
Application packagers: discover what files are being installed and jump to the folder in windows explorer with the selected file highlighted. Open the registry to installed applications uninstall location. Open file location of cached MSI for installed applications. Use the MSI feature to search all tables for selected text and highlight all matches in a textbox.
