This software has been developed over sixteen years in consultation with motor traders, accountants and our computer consultants and the result is a bookkeeping program that is tailored especially for the motor trade.
Our users have asked for software that is easy and quick to use and requires virtually no training. Motor Traders Assistant (MTA) is the result.
What does MTA do? Three things basically:
It will produce a VAT return, supplying the numbers to put into the boxes requried by HMRC.
It will give you a Profit and Loss report for any given period (you supply the start and end dates).
It tells you how much a vehicle 'owes' you, i.e., what you have spent to get it ready for sale.
Of course there are several other reports available, e.g., debtors and creditors and will also produce nice looking invoices which can have your own logo on if you prefer, but basically the three main objectives are those above.
We also include a vehicle sales invoice which complies with the new Consumer Credit Act, 2015 which came into force on 1st October, 2015. There is a declaration on the invoice which dealers can ask buyers to sign which will protect them from unfair returns and refunds. This does not affect the buyer's statutory rights and to further help buyers to protect themselves, we include a comprehensive pre-delivery inspection check list.
