Fast and simple auto mp3 tagging utility with integrated Discogs.com search support. It can rename folders using the fixed format: Artist - Album (Year). Adds/rewrites id3v1/2 tags in an automatic way when files lack artist/album info or when artist/album metadata is non-uniform across a folder. Some portable media players can only sort mp3 files by tags. So, if the tags are messed up (which is a common case), use of such a player is complicated by the fact that all files lacking tags are put in an "untitled" folder upon uploading. Besides, if some of the tracks of an album have even slightly different album/artist fields than the others, the device "creates" an extra album or artist for each of the variations. So the utility's aim is to help prepare a collection of mp3 albums for uploading to a "tag-only" media player quickly and with maximum automation by means of filling in empty tags and correcting tag discrepancies.
